Kankai Forest Ride is a most alluring ride in the Sasan Gir what provides you an opportunity to explore the maximum land of forest. Kankai is a name of divine goddess who known as by Kankai Mata ji or Kankeshwari Mata Ji. She is family goddess of many Gujarati and her temple is located in the center of Gir wildlife sanctuary. People have very high chance to spot the Asiatic lion and numerous animals are flourishing here that can be seen in Gir Forest during Kankai Temple Safari such as Bengal leopards, golden jackal, stripped hyenas, wild boar, four horned antelopes, chital, sambar, deer, black buck, ruddy mongoose, porcupine, Indian pangolin and above 1800 species of birds, reptiles, herbivorous, carnivorous and insects. But the route of kankai is very different from Gir National Park where jeep safaris are conducted by the Gujarat Forest Department. If we talk about distance and safari duration of kankai so it is very high as compared to other safaris. This is 35 km away from the Sasan Gir Reception and the total duration is 5 hrs which is done by car only.
There are only a process of booking that is online booking process. This is a online booking system where you may book your safari package including Car, Driver and permit. Kankai's permit are very low in quantity so please book your safari 1 month prior so that you may secure your safari by advance booking. Before droping your safari booking request on our website, you must have to read all the terms and conditions so that a trust factor is always maintained.
Note : If you want to explore Sasan Gir National Park wildlife sanctuary so book your safari in advance around 30 days before from safari date that you finalized.
There are only a location where you will get your car for the safari, the location is Sinh Sadan. It is also known by Gir reception this is the location where you will sit in your car and go towards for mesmerizing temple ride.
Note : There are not any other pick-up point or hotel pick-up. you have to come on the Gir reception before 30 mints from your traveling time.
