Gir Jungle Safari also known by Gir Safari and Gir Forest Safari. This is 3 hrs open jeep safari that provides a majestic view in the Gir National Park. This is main safari of the national park where people can enjoy a natural view of wildlife sanctuary. When visitors go inside the forest, they really mesmerized by forest wilderness because there are flourishing 2300+ species of different kind of animals mainly 550+ lions are there what can be looked very easily. Department also created 400+ water points that make your sightseeing more majestic.
Apart from Asiatic lions, there are 500+ Bengal leopards that also easily spotted on the trees. Bengal leopards have the ability to jump 50ft long that cannot be looked very easily but if you see it during safari so believe us you are very lucky. These kinds of animals' activities make your day unforgettable.
Along with these majestic cats' species there are lots of animals like stripped hyena, jungle cats, civet cats are also spotted but it looks very rarely, mongoose, black buck, chital, sambar, chinkara, four horned antelope, wild boar, nilgai porcupine, Indian pangolin etc.
There is only online booking process for Gir Jungle Safari booking. This online booking system are managed by the Gujarat Forest Department where you can book only Gir Safari permit that ensure your safari is confirmed but GYPSY, guide, driver you have to book offline on the date of safari and before the 45 mints from safari time. Gir Safari starting point will be Gir reception where you have to available physically to complete some verification through your government's id proof. Gir reception also known as Sinh Sadan, so don't confuse by different name. Please avoid the hotel pick-up because these jeeps do not leave reception before verification process.
Note : There are not any other pick-up point or hotel pick-up. you have to come on the Gir reception before 30 mints from your safari time.
